His extremely high health and powerful weapons make him the tankiest class. To play demoknight you have to find or unlock the weapons needed. Demoman also has an alternate play style called demoknight, which is a strong melee play style. He also has a stickybomb launcher which can be used to set up traps and explode enemies trying to invade your base. He can also roll his grenades down hills or ramps. The demoman's grenade launcher can be used to directly hit enemies dealing 100 damage, or bouncing them off the ground or walls to hit people around corners, while dealing less damage. He is good for defending an objective or destroying enemy engineer buildings. The demoman is a high-damage dealing explosive projectile class. Weapons: Grenade Launcher, Stickybomb Launcher, Bottle of Scrumpy Pyro however suffers from very little range, so stick up close to your enemies. Sticking around engineers and defending their equipment from spies can really help your team out. Pyros can reveal cloaked spies with their fire. The airblast also launches projectiles back at the person who fired it, which can counter soldiers and demomen. The pyro can also be a very good team player as he is able to right click and airblast which extinguishes enemies who are on fire, plus you get a +20 health reward for it. Afterburn is very deadly because it damages the enemy over time, other pyros however aren't effected by afterburn, so fight them with your shotgun. The pyro's flamethrower lights enemies on fire and makes them take afterburn. Pyros can take out most classes if they get up right next to them. The pyro is a great flanking and ambush class that can deal high damage up close. Soldier is the first class you should try out when getting into tf2. It is done by shooting the ground below yourself with your rocket launcher and jumping. Rocket jumping takes some time to master but is very useful. Soldier is the second slowest class, but makes up for it by being able to rocket jump. Soldier doesn't have any hard counters, but pyros can reflect his rockets back at him with an airblast. He is a very versatile class that is good in all situations. The soldier is the best class for getting to know tf2. Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, Shovel Scouts have very low health but can deal high damage with their scatterguns. In CTF the scout's speed allows him to quickly take the enemy's intelligence, while in other game modes he captures objectives twice as fast as any other class. Scouts are good for taking the objectives or the intelligence. One for all the meme fans out there, Lolcano is…an experience.Weapons: Scattergun, Pistol, Baseball Bat You know Turbine, right, the popular Capture the Flag map? Have you ever thought to yourself “Hey this place is just fine, but I’d love it if it had fifty more turbines than it currently boasts?” Well, we’ve got you covered. Some people have compared it to Ratz Instagib, only with less rodents and more lunchtime snacks. One of my personal favourite maps, Sandvich (or “Sandviches”, I’ve seen it credited as both) is a King of the Hill style map where you play amongst giant sandviches as you try to capture the control point. Suffice to say, it’s worth all that cart pushing, just for that spectacular ending.Įveryone knows 2Fort, but this is 2Fort with a twist! Not one for gamers who suffer with motion sickness, 2Fort with a twist is a “corkscrew” type map which will have you falling all over the place as you try to sort out up from down. It’s a single cart PLR map where the bomb is replaced by a Dogbread (which is, as we all know, just a big ol’ loaf of pupper) until…well…the video above should show you all you need to know. Here are five of my favourite “weird and wonderful” TF2 maps, which all have something unique to offer players:Ī payload map unlike another other, Dogbread is one of the weirdest maps that TF2 has to offer. There’s game maps such as the well-known Prop Hunt or Versus Saxton Hale, which utilise already-existing content to provide the player with new and exciting ways to play TF2.īut then there are those maps so different that it’s hard to categorise them properly. Some of these maps are created for the purposes of pure fun. Community-made content has always been one of the driving forces behind Team Fortress 2, including a wide selection of player-made maps.
